Three Improvements Made in the Garmin Nuvi 750 GPS System

Garmin is a household name as far as GPS devices are concerned. While there are many people in the country who have never used a GPS device before, those who have know that Garmin has pioneered many innovative devices over the years. As GPS technology continues to mature and become more popular in the general marketplace, Garmin remains a company that is heavily involved in pushing the frontier ever forward in this area of industry. The Garmin Nuvi 750 GPS device was a great example of that mindset, and three things in particular stand out about this GPS device.

The Display

The first thing that has really been improved in this latest GPS unit is the display. The screen is now fully able to support a multitude of colors, allowing you to map different routes in different colours and easily be able to tell one set of directions from another as you use your GPS device to help find your way. The color interface also makes menu commands easier to process in comparison to previous incarnations of GPS devices. The widescreen display is 4.3 inches long with a resolution of 480 x 272 pixels, and this makes things clear enough that you can easily sneak a quick glance at the display while driving in order to know exactly where you are and where you are going.

The Design

In the Hollywood movies, a GPS device is usually a big and bulky thing that is placed on the dashboard of a car and is impossible to control. While Hollywood is not exactly the most accurate of venues, this has been how some previous generations of GPS devices have appeared, right down to the difficulty of control. However, the Garmin Nuvi 750 GPS device is quite different, with an external casing that is designed in a very sleek manner. This device is supposed to help you navigate in your car or on foot, and for that reason, the design calls for the ability to fit in your pocket while, at the same time, containing massive amounts of processing power.

The Antenna

All GPS devices need some sort of antenna to operate; otherwise, there would be no way for them to get information about your position from the satellites in orbit. However, antennas are not all created equal, and many of them can be slow. The antenna on the Garmin Nuvi 750 GPS device is tuned in a very fine way, allowing you to gather all of the information you need without unfortunate stalls at critical times. This device even has an FM transmitter built into it, allowing the unit to relay verbal instructions through your car speakers in a method that is far clearer than what the small unit would be able to accomplish on its own.

The upgraded antenna combined with a revamped design and excellent colour display creates a list of three things different about the Nuvi 750 that make it very attractive indeed.
